Tuxedos can be fun. It's more of a "do your own thing" now. Western tuxedo coats and accessories are now being worn with black Wrangler jeans and black boots. Summer weddings can have the gentlemen in tuxedo shorts, bridesmaids in tuxedo tails and black skirts, even brides in tuxedos! If you have a different idea for your formal wear, don't be afraid to do it. Different is fun!

When you rent your tuxedos, ask questions. Every shop will offer you a black tuxedo because that's what is rented most. A good shop will offer 20-30 black tuxedos in different styles featuring peak, notch, and shawl lapels with one, two, three button, double breast or tail style coats, and a few white, gray and color coats.

Just because everyone is renting black, doesn't mean you can't still be different and have a lot to choose from. Accessories can really set you apart. A good tuxedo shop will give you many choices in everything such as stud & cuff links, vests, cummerbunds, ties, shoes, and shirts. Vests are really hot in formal wear right now. They are much more fun and colorful. No longer do you have just plain solid colors as in most cummerbunds, but patterns and mixed colors are what you'll find in vests. We are seeing a lot of long ties now but a bow still says "TUXEDO"!
